Synopsis

Gilmore Girls is my favourite show of all time! This show focuses on the mother daughter relationship of single mother Lorelei Gilmore and her daughter Rory Gilmore. It is about a mother daughter duo, living in a small town called Stars Hollow, who grow up together and deal with the ups and downs of life. Lorelei had her daughter at sixteen years old and at that time did not want to get married. Christopher – Rory’s father – agreed. Rory is a very smart girl who loves to read and spend time with her best friend Lane Kim. Lorelei and Rory have a strong friendship with Luke Danes who is the owner of a coffee shop. Lorelei and Rory go to his coffee shop daily. They also have a strong relationship with Sooki St. James, who is the best friend of Lorelei and an amazing chef. The show also focuses on Lorelei’s relationship with her mother and father (and Rory’s relationship with her grandparents as well). The writers of this show were so clever in these scripts; the dialogue between characters, specifically between Lorelei and other characters is so witty, funny, and special.

It is a must see!

Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Synopsis

Brooklyn Nine-Nine is a hilarious sitcom that takes place primarily in the 99th police precinct. The main characters of the show are detectives Jake Peralta, Amy Santiago, Charles Boyle, Rosa Diaz, Hitchcock, Scully, as well as Gina Linetti, Terry Jeffords, and Captain Holt. In each episode there are new crimes in the city of Brooklyn and the team work to solve these cases. The characters each have distinct personalities. There is a strong friendship between the team at the police precinct, even if they don’t always show it. This is a great show to watch to relax, enjoy and laugh. One of my favourite sitcoms!

The Good Doctor

Synopsis

The Good Doctor is an unique medical drama. The main character is Dr. Shaun Murphy, a surgical resident at San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital. Shaun has autism and savant syndrome which helps him see things others can’t. In the first season of the show, audiences see Shaun navigate his way in the hospital as well as with his personal relationships such as friendships and finding love. There are many who are skeptical about Shaun’s abilities as a surgeon because of his autism and savant syndrome. Because of this, Shaun is often given less responsibility in the hospital, even though he has proved that he is able to perform difficult tasks. There are also two other surgical residents, Dr. Claire Browne and Dr. Jared Kalu who are on the same team as Shaun, under the leadership of Dr. Neil Melendez, an attending surgeon. This medical drama is amazing so far and has a lot of potential. I’m excited to watch more seasons of this show!
