Okay, let’s get started!

Three Things About Me

1. I’m a extrovert. I love to meet new people and talk with others. I love public speaking and sharing my thoughts with others.

2. I can speak Mandarin and English fluently.

3. My all time favourite subject in school is French. I love learning new languages and I think French is a beautiful and elegant language. I’ve never been to Paris but I hope to one day. Since I love languages, English is a close second favourite!

Brittney’s Questions

1. What is one thing you wish you knew before starting a blog/site? I wish I knew how kind and amazing everyone in the blogging community is! Does that count as one thing? 😂 Aside from that, a piece of advice I wish I knew is that interacting with other blogs is very important. See my answer to the next question!

2. What helpful advice would you give to a new blogger? Read and comment on other bloggers posts! Interacting with others blogs is very important in order to grow your blog. It helps you grow your blog’s following, give you more perspective and critical thinking skills, and allows you to be inspired! It means a lot to me when I receive comments on my posts because I am so happy that someone took their time to read what I have to say. I love hearing other people’s thoughts and opinions. I’m sure this is true for many other bloggers as well!

3. What is a book you read that surprised you with how much you enjoyed it? We Were Liars by e. Lockhart. I went into the book not knowing much because most reviews I read tried to not reveal much. So I didn’t know enough about the book, but wow! I was so surprised at that plot twist 😱🙌

Also Geekerella by Ashley Poston! Most reviews said that the book focuses on fandom and that there were Star Wars (or Star Trek) references. I was worried that I wouldn’t relate as much but I was wrong! This book was a great read and the characters even better!

4. What is your favorite animal? I like dolphins! They’re really smart animals and move beautifully in the water.

5. What is a book you read that fell out of your usual reading genre that you fell in love with? I really loved A Series of Unfortunate Events although I haven’t read the last book of the series yet. I read this series in elementary school so it was my childhood read! The genre is mystery and goth satire which is very unique.

Rose’s Questions

1. What’s your current favourite TV show? Gilmore Girls will always be my favourite Tv show ♥️ (I have a post on this here)

Brooklyn Nine Nine and The Good Doctor are amazing shows too. I’m currently watching Quantico and Heartland which are two pretty great shows as well. Haha I just listed all the shows I love, oops 😂

2. Favourite quote? I don’t really have a favourite quote at this moment. But I like this one: “Share your smile with the world.”

3. How do you like to arrange your books on your shelves? I don’t really have a specific way but it’s kind of by genre, then by author and series’.

4. Have you ever been to an author’s signing or to a book convention? No but I really want to go to an author signing one day!

5. What’s one book you bought because of its cover? I don’t usually buy a book before I’ve heard about it from others so this is a hard question. But one book I bought mostly because of the cover and gorgeous pages is The Beauty and the Beast!

  1. […] Lol. I am not even sure. Forgive me. Anyways, I was tagged quite a while ago by lovely Sissy from @thebookworld.Thank you so much for tagging me 😇 also guys please go and give her blog some love. She is […]

  2. Hi Sissi! I just found your blog & I love your writing style! I was so excited after reading this post of yours because of the fact that you can speak Mandarin and English fluently — I’ve been learning Mandarin for quite a few years now, and though I can have basic conversations, I’m definitely nowhere near fluent. And it’s amazing you know French as well! 😆 If you can’t tell, I absolutely love everything to do with languages 😋

I agree with your advice to bloggers — becoming more active in the blogging community has completely changed the way I see blogging. There are so many kind and talented people in the blogosphere for me to find, and if I ever need blogging inspiration, the blogosphere will have some for me. 😊 Anyways, great post, Sissi! I can’t wait to explore more of your blog!

    • Thank you so much, I love writing! I love languages too, I hope I can become more fluent in French as I continue to learn. Blog posts are so fun and interesting to read, and commenting and discussing is even more wonderful! Thank you so much again for reading and commenting! This comment means a lot 😊

  3. Congrats on the award! 🙂 That is so cool you speak two languages and are learning a third! To me there’s something beautiful about languages, because it’s not only how others speak but how they think, too. Also, I really really need to read Geekerella, I just haven’t gotten around to it yet.

  4. Ahhh!! ❤ Thank you again for thinking of me!! I am also obsessed with Gilmore Girls! I even like the last couple season and the reboot which I know lost a lot of fans. Also, I adored Geekerella! (I'm a huge sucker for Cinderella re-tellings). ❤

    • Gilmore Girls is definitely my favourite show but honestly for me I did not like the reboot!! I thought they really changed the personality of Rory.. and honestly I felt that she was no longer a role model..that was my main problem with the reboot, other than that I enjoyed it. I’ll still be a fan of the show forever 🙂 Geekerella is soooo cute 🙂 😍

      • You are absolutely right about Rory! I enjoyed the reboot because I reaaallly was excited for it so I told myself not to get hung up on the things I didn’t like (and it mostly worked). BUT my one huge disappointment was how awful Rory was to the boyfriend character she had through the whole year. I know he was meant to be a funny storyline, but I thought it was just plain awful! 😦

        • I agree, even know I didn’t love the reboot, it didn’t spoil the show for me. Through the reboot there were times where Rory didn’t seem like herself and she seemed to care too little about the things and people around her! I also don’t understand the “relationship?” between Logan and Rory in the reboot either!

  5. Congrats, girl!! It was so fun reading all of the answers you came up with. And your questions are great, I can’t wait to answer them! Thanks so much for nominating me ❤

  6. Thank you for the nomination!
I love that cover of The beauty and The beast! 😍 And Gilmore Girls! I can’t believe i forgot that one while making My own answers 🙈

  7. Great post, I loved all your answers! Gilmore Girls is one of my favourite shows too, I watched it for the first time ever a couple of years and and became so obsessed with it!

  8. Aww thank you so, so much for the nomination, you’re the sweetest this means the world ❤ ❤
I'm so glad you love Gilmore Girls, it's such a great show!! ❤ And yes to We Were Liars, this book surprised me so much. ❤
I'm happy you love French haha, it's such a complicated language – and I say that as a native French hahahaha 🙂

    • You’re welcome! I love your blog!! Yayy I’m so happy so many people love Gilmore Girls! Haha French is pretty complicated. The grammar is so hard! Thanks for reading and commenting ❤️

  9. Thanks for the nomination! I live in Canada but can only speak basic French. I’ve tried, but I can’t do it! I would love to be fluent in Spanish though. I can speak it much better than French 🙂
Hope to get to this soon!

  10. Thanks for the nomination, it means a lot for me!
I also love languages and can speak Arabic, English, Some French and Hebrew (writing and reading only). And we were liars also surprised me 🙂

  11. I absolutely love Gilmore Girls too. Granted I’m only on season two 😂 but it’s great! Thank you so much for the nomination!!!

  12. Thank you so much for the nomination!💓I loved reading all your answers to the questions. I adore Gilmore Girls, too! Also, I so agree that the plot twist in We Were Liars was jaw dropping. I went in blind, too, and honestly that’s the best way to go into that book. If you know the ending, then it just won’t be the same- and if you don’t know it (like you and me) then it’s seriously SUCH a great twist!
