3 Days 3 Quotes (Days 1-3): On Language, Growth & Connectivity

Hey everyone! I’ve seen many posts of the 3 Days 3 Quotes challenge and it looks like a lot of fun! Thank you to Kat @ The Perks of Being a Daydreamer and Leslie @ Books are the New Black for tagging me. The quotes they chose were wonderful, please go check them out! 💖 For this tag, instead of posting 3 quotes in 3 days, I’ve decided to share three quotes I love in this post. I hope you love these quotes as much as I do 🙂 I did a similar post when I first started my blog: My Top 10 Favorite Quotes from YA novels.

Side note: I’ve been behind on reading posts from the book blogging community! I’ll be catching up on reading them tonight and tomorrow. 🙂

Rules (of the original tag)

  • Thank the person who nominated you.
  • Post a quote for 3 consecutive days (1 quote each day)
  • Nominate 3 new bloggers each day.

Day 1// Language
From the book Words in Deep Blue by Cath Crowley

Okay there are two quotes but they are from the same book and have similar messages, so I had to share them both!

Although I didn’t love the book Words in Deep Blue (I gave it a 3/5 stars which means the book was still great. Review here. 🙂 ), I absolutely love this quote. Books and language are an important part of who I am, as well as all the people and the things I love. This is a beautiful quote which I agree with completely. ❤

Day 2// Growth
From the book the sun and her flowers by Rupi Kaur

quote 3

I love this quote because it is telling us that we do not just succeed instantly. Instead it takes work and making mistakes in order to learn and grow. I always strive for my best in the things I do and I’m glad this quote is showing us that growing is a process and a journey. 🙂

Day 3// Connectivity
From the book The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon

quote 4

I included this in my other post (the Top 10 Favourite Quotes post) and I really want to share it again! It’s so beautiful and true. This quote tells us that our actions affect others and that we have an impact on the people around us. It shows that we all have an impact on the world and that, similarly, we are not alone. I have a review of this book here!

  1. These quotes are gorgeous! I haven’t read The Sun and Her Flowers or The Sun is Also a Star yet, but maybe I do! I wasn’t the biggest fan of Words in Deep Blue, but the theme of how much books mean to us was really lovely.

    • You should read The Sun is Also a Star! It’s so good. I’ve heard mixed reviews for The Sun and Her Flowers. I liked it though and I gave it a 3/5 stars. Me too! Although I didn’t love all parts of Words in Deep Blue, I really liked certain aspects such as these quotes 🙂

  2. Great quotes! I especially love the first two 🙃 I actually haven’t read Words In Deep Blue, but guess what? It’s another book i’ve been meaning to read 🙈
